Charm'tastic Mile Unveils, We Got A Yard Thang! Slogan to Honor Oriole Park at 30 March 3, 2022 - The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (Love That 1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The owners & players are in a lockout to start Spring Training and have delayed the start of the 2022 MLB season. They go back-and-forth but no deal has been agreed upon.

The famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est. 1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East is a very proud supporter of the Baltimore Orioles. The Eutaw entrance to Oriole Park at Camden Yards is just a home run trot away from The "Charm'tastic Mile" in the Dwtn-West section of the 1.3 mile corridor.

To honor the 30th Anniversary-year of Oriole Park opening on April 6, 1992 and for the entire season (what will be left of it), The "Charm'tastic Mile" created a marketing/slogan to help celebrate the baseball stadium that changed the game of stadium design. "We Got A Yard Thang!" will be more than a slogan it will be a party anthem for fans who come to The Yard and cheer on the O's. The A represents the (A) in the word Anniversary.

There will be "We Got A Yard Thang'" themed happy hours at bars around the downtown-area to help promote the O's, the 30th Anniversary of The Yard and the whole downtown economy for local residents, visiting baseball fans & tourists.

The We Got A Yard Thang!, moniker was inspired by the 1989 popular hip-hop song We Got Our Own Thang by Icon rapper Heavy D. (Dwight Myers) and his group Heavy D. & the Boyz. The Maryland Stadium Authority broke-ground on Oriole Park at Camden Yards on June 28, 1989, the same year that the song (6-12-1989) was released from the album Big Tyme.

Derrick E. Vaughan the local-area businessman that coined The "Charm'tastic Mile" lived at The Greenehouse (519 W. Pratt Street) luxury loft apartment building from September 1989 to March 1992 and saw the stadium being built. "It was an amazing thing to witness over a 2-year period. There was nothing there then one-day you look over and say wow there she is".

Vaughan first introduced The "Charm'tastic Mile" to the City of Baltimore on April 25, 2016. The 2nd of the 3rd Ceremonial/Honorary street signs for the famed 1.3 mile corridor was unveiled on December 12, 2019 (12-12-19) at the corner of W. Pratt & S. Greene Street directly across from The Greenehouse apartments. On that day Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens broke the QB single-season rushing record that was previously held by Michael Vick. The Ravens defeated the NY Jets on Thursday Night Football (TNF) at M&T Bank Stadium 42-21.

The "Charm'tastic Mile" shares the same introduction date to Charm City as the famous & iconic "Domino Sugars" neon sign (4-25-1951) 65-years apart. To all the players and owners in the MLB, Let's Get Back to Baseball, We Got A Yard Thang! here in Bmore.
