Martin County senior Jayden Pressey capped off a busy stretch coming off of winning a state title with the Tiger basketball team by deciding where he would continue his football career.
One of the top two-way players in the area last year being one of Martin County's top wide receivers and defensive backs will head to South Carolina and play at Presbyterian, who competes at the Division-I FCS level.
Signing on Thursday just five days after helping the Tigers win the 6A state championship in basketball with a 53-49 victory over Ponte Vedra in Lakeland, Pressey considered Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb and Austin Peay among other schools but needed to wait until basketball season ended to make a final decision on his future.
As a key piece to the Tiger football team going undefeated in 2021 during the regular season before reaching a regional semifinal in 6A, Pressey is excited for what Presbyterian can offer him with a chance to potentially play on both sides of the ball.

"The school is very nice," Pressey said. "It's a cool area, what really made me want to go is that the team is like 80 percent freshman, its a small school playing Division I. When I went up there, I met both the receivers coach and their defensive back coach and I felt like it could be a good fit."
In his senior year, Pressey totaled 24 catches for 459 yards and five touchdowns and added 150 yards and three rushing touchdowns for Martin County on offense.
