The NC Volunteers and the City of New Cumberland have announced the winner of the June Yard of the Month award. The award was presented to Todd and Shannon Blake of Ridge Avenue. Since recently moving to New Cumberland, the Blakes have been busy making their yard look beautiful. They have added a water feature as well as shrubs and flowers to really improve curb appeal. For their efforts, the Blakes were given a check, a certificate and a sign to place in their yard until the next winner is announced. The Yard of the Month award is a joint project of the NC Volunteers and the City of New Cumberland and hopes to foster pride in the community through beautification.
