Rowan College of South Jersey Commencement, May 13, 2022
The Gloucester Campus of Rowan College of South Jersey held its commencement Friday afternoon on the lawn as 550 graduates received diplomas.
The pandemic forced the college to have a parade of graduates in the parking lot last year as students drove up, ceremoniously walked across the stage, and then returned to cars with limited pomp and circumstance and guests.
It was a much different scene this year as the lawn in front of the Campus Center was crowded with family and friends, cheering, taking pictures and holding signs as the graduates made their way to their seats.
President Frederick Keating addressed the graduates before introducing the student speaker Christina Copeland.
In total, 1,217 students from the Gloucester Campus and 640 from the Cumberland Campus made up the class of 2022.
